Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy entails interacting personally and regularly with a psychologist with the intention of changing, reducing or overcoming troubling thoughts, beliefs, emotions or behaviours. The purpose of seeking psychotherapy can be to improve well-being; resolve a crisis, explore a problem, or diagnose and treat a mental health disorder. Psychotherapy leads to improved relationships, improved sense of well-being, increased self awareness, increased sense of mastery, improved general functioning, and the development of interpersonal skills and coping mechanisms.

Children
