With two decades of experience as an educational psychologist, Ingrid has specialised in consulting within both private practice and school settings. As a practitioner, she is detail orientated and therefore enjoys the analytical and diagnostic component of assessments. She completed her internship at the RAU Institute for Child and Adult Guidance and obtained her Masters Degree in Educational Psychology in 2003. Erickson Institute of South Africa (MEISA). She actively participates in professional development and has keenly attended conferences and courses presented by the Solution Focused Institute of South Africa.
Maintaining concurrent consulting roles in schools and private practice has enabled her to work with diverse age groups, attending to the emotional and/or unique learning needs of preschoolers, primary and high school students, as well as university students. Her expertise includes managing multi-disciplinary teams, a role she has fulfilled in private, public and international schools. While she offers a range of educational psychological services, she specialises in psychotherapy, play therapy, and psycho-educational assessments.
More recently, Ingrid has also worked as a learning support consultant, providing targeted assistance in English Language and Literacy Development, as well as Mathematics for learners from Grade 1 to Grade 7, in line with the CAPS curriculum.
